As we near the end of 2024, I am continuing to prepare for hopeful Therapeutic Lipedema Reduction Surgery sometime next year. To that end, I went to see Dr. Alejandro Perez (cardiologist at Providence in the Portland area) again to get updated documentation. I also need a new scan of my venous insufficiency before we can go ahead.
I saw him last in 2019, and he has continued to follow the diagnosis research at vascular conventions, etc. He shared that obesity is not a moral failing. He credited the Lipedema community for being out in front with that truth.
